World AIDS Day
In 1988, the World Health Organization and U.N. General Assembly first declared December 1st “World AIDS Day”. Every year on World AIDS Day, campaigners from all over the world come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. We hope that you will continue to campaign to stop AIDS not just on World AIDS Day, but throughout the year.
This year, the theme for World AIDS Day is HIV/AIDS Activism Through Art. The Foundation is embarking on public large-scale and site-specific outdoor mural/graffiti art that will tell a story and spark inspiration and conversation around HIV/AIDS in the Kansas City community. The mural will bring attention to the importance of access to quality healthcare for all communities. For more info on World AIDS Day, click here.
